Black Holes Don’t Suck

Black holes may seem mysterious and disturbing. After all, they are objects whose gravitational attraction is so strong, nothing can escape – not even light. However, black holes are paradoxically some of the brightest objects in the Universe, pumping huge amounts of matter and light back into their host galaxies. In fact, black holes at the centers of the Milky Way may have seeded the galaxy with the raw materials for life on Earth.
