Sainath Suryanarayanan is a science & technology studies (STS) scholar and biologist. He is lead author of the book Vanishing Bees: Science, Politics and Honeybee Health (Rutgers University Press, 2017). Sainath’s research has appeared in a wide array of STS and biology journals, including Social Studies of Science; Science, Technology & Human Values; Current Biology; and Engaging Science Technology & Society.
This April 16, 2019 science cafe program was the first of a series funded in part by a National Science Foundation grant (#1611953) whose principal investigator was Karen Rader, historian of science Virginia Commonwealth University’s College of Humanities and Sciences in Richmond, Virginia.
